I see you, I hear you, I’m with you as you are,” she said.

About five years ago, the black model started her modelling career in Canada with Elmer Olsen Model Management. A year later, she moved to New York and was signed with IMG Worldwide. Since then, she’s walked some of the most coveted runways from New York to Paris, and much more.
In a 2013 interview with Harpers Bazaar Magazine, the young model was asked to describe her feelings about the diversity on the runways. And if she felt a change.
“It was so amazing to see all the black girls that walked in shows at fashion week this season. I really felt like things changed—you could really see more diversity at all the shows. I love that things are evolving, and we’re seeing it first hand,” she told Bazaar.
Asked about the favorite place she had travelled for work, she said: “Capetown, South Africa was probably one of the best trips I’ve ever had. It was when I first started modelling, I learned a lot on that trip. It’s incredibly beautiful there—the beach, the sunsets, the landscape, it was all unreal.”
With just one Hollywood film to her name, Lupita Nyong’o has received more awards and recognition than many stars who have been in the industry for years can boast of. The Mexican-born Kenyan star’ rise to fame and global recognition is what many of her colleagues can only dream of. The African Hollywood star and enviable black beauty is not just a multiple awards winning actress in the supporting role she played in “12 Years A Slave”, but a face that has graced many international and reputable magazines. As the Ambassador of Lancome Paris, she has been featured in campaigns for the French cosmetic maker.
And just recently, the African Hollywood star was featured in the latest edition of a Paris Match magazine looking every inch the superstar that she is. Wearing a super gorgeous red dress and a pair of red high-heeled sandals, the former Shuga Kenya star was photographed by the photographer, Alexi Lubomirski. And with her signature smile, Lupita looked flawless as usual. Her complimenting makeup was done by Lancome.
When asked about her she sees the industry, Lupita told Paris Match:
“From the outside, being an actress is very exciting, very glamorous. But inside, it’s hard. It takes many, many long hours. I saw it as a job. I want to be honest with the role I’m supposed to interpret. The trap is to do this job for social recognition”
And below is what the magazine wrote about the African Hollywood star:
“#LupitaNyongO, Black sun #Hollywood. In the streets of #NewYork she cannot take a step without people asking for her autograph. In one year, the Oscar winner for “12 Years a Slave,” which was her first role, has become more than a star into a real phenomenon. Here on the 36th floor, in front of the huge window of a penthouse at the InterContinental, #Lupita dominates #TimesSquare. Stoic, she keeps smiling despite the vertigo.”
Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke made $16.5million from their 2013 smash hit single, Blurred Lines, but a court has ordered them to give $7.4 million of that money to Marvin Gaye’s family
The court determined yesterday March 10th that the singers copied elements of Marvin Gaye’s “Got to Give it Up” for Blurred Lines, which was written and produced by Pharrell.
The court decided that Gaye’s family should receive $4million in damages and $3.4 million in profits from the song, with Thicke forced to pay $1.7million from his own pocket and Pharrell $1.6million. T.I only rapped in the song so he wasn’t involved in the lawsui

Kanye West’s computer was stolen last night in Paris. And according to reports by American gossip tabloid, Media Take Out (MTO), there’s a sex tape of the stars that the thief is trying to sell. The alleged tape is reported to be a three-way sex sensational pleasure involving Kanye, Kim, and a blond woman.

CEO Dancers’ Nqobile Danseur met Kanye West and got the rapper to smile. Many have complained about Kanye’s facial demeanour as they say he looks like someone who is always angry as he never smiles. And from the look of things, it seems the rapper is mostly unhappy with the paparazzi, just like his little daughter, North West.
A few days ago, CEO Dancers’ Nqobile Danseur posted a footage of herself and Kanye in London on Instagram. And guess who was all smiles! Kanye of course. And when the dance instructors asked the father of two to say hello to her friends and the other members of CEO Dancers, the Balmain ambassador gladly did while still maintaining his smiles.
Nqobile, who is a member of the African British dance group said Kanye was watching her upstairs while she was busy giving private Afrobeats lessons to her students at the ArtsClub. She also confessed to being a huge fan of Kanye, as she gushes about meeting the rap star.
“Just finished teaching a private Afrobeats Session at the #ArtsClub and guess who was watching upstairs #KANYE freaking WEST!!! @kanyewest Thanks#Opulux for the opportunity and thanks to my assisting dancers @grandyofficial @carrera_chanelle.#NqobileDanseur’,” the model and singer posted the video.
CEO Dancers were featured in Dbanj’s Oliver Twist music video that was produced by Kanye’s record label, Good Music. Kanye also made a cameo appearance in the video.
The group participated in the 2013 edition of Britain’s Got Talent and made it to the semi-finals. They are a group of three girls and a female award winning dance group based in London with Nigerian and South African origins.
Arcade Content’s Lebogang Rasethaba directed the music video for Nice Shandees, the Sibot and OKMalumkoolkat collaboration that dropped on YouTube yesterday.
“Nice Shandees was the start of a close friendship with OKmalum,” says Sibot. “We seem to get each other, which is rare.”
Sibot and OKMalumkoolkat both featured in Lebogang’s acclaimed documentary, Future Sound of Mzansi, a celebration of the electronic musicians behind the country’s post-Apartheid after-party.
Lebogang’s visual interpretation of the track is more digital art than music video. “Sibot’s beat and Okmalumkoolkat’s lyrics gave us an opportunity to create a world that has never been seen before,” he says. “Once that became clear to us, we set to make a standout video that broke all standing space-time continuum inventories within music video language.”
Sibot has released music for Diplo’s Mad Decent label; sound-tracked Miley Cyrus’ Instagram videos; and collaborated with the who’s who of the South African music scene, including Spoek Mathambo, Ninja (Die Antwoord), Markus Wormstorm, and Felix Laband.
OKmalumkoolkat similarly has a cult-like following in South Africa, not just for his solo work but also for his collaborations as BoyznBucks and Dirty Paraffin.
Nice Shandees was originally released last year on Sibot’s free-download EP, Arc Eyes. “I initially wanted it for my mixtape but got the opportunity to put it out through Red Bull Studio Cape Town, backed by a billboard,” laughs Sibot.
