First time soon to be mum Kelly Rowland stripped for Elle magazine and talks about raising a child in the spotlight. When asked what kind of celebrity mum she will be, Kelly replied;
“I just plan to play it by ear. Everybody has their normal. And sometimes, award shows are a part of that. I have girlfriends who have that experience, and they’ll say ‘You know, I just really didn’t want to be without my child today.’ And it’s just that simple. It’s about finding your normal, whatever that may be.”
The 2014 edition of Miss Black Africa UK took place yesterday 04 October 2014 and Nigeria’s Jacqueline Ilumoka was the winner of the crown. The Miss Black Africa UK beauty pageant took place at the Royal Regency Hall in London and 22 contestants representing different black African countries participated at the event.

British-Nigerian fashion designer, Ade Bakare Couture was one of the fashion houses to showcase its collection at the just concluded 2014 edition of the Native & Vogue Port Harcourt Fashion Week in Nigeria.
Models like Isio Wanogho and Millen Magese were seen strutting the runway while rocking pieces from the London-based designer.
Both men and women’s collection from Ade Bakare’s collection were given a fuse of Adire & tie-dye fabrics. Adire is a popular fabric from the western part of Nigeria.
The women’s collection consisted of fashionable pieces such as dresses, as well as tops and jeans. The men’s collection were a mix of shirts made in Adire print, tunics, as well as shorts. The Ade Bakare’s “Adire Meets Modernity” collection signature was visible in most of the pieces.
Another American citizen has been diagnosed with the Ebola virus. Ashoka Mukpo (pictured above) is a cameraman working for American TV station, NBC News in Liberia.
Mukpo is the 5th American citizen to have tested positive for the Ebola virus in West Africa. He’s also the first journalist to have contracted the deadly virus.
Symptoms of the virus started showing on the 33-year-old writer and cameraman on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. The minute he suspected he must have contracted the virus, the camera went straight to the quarantine centre to undergo tests and be placed under observation.
At the Doctors Without Borders test centre in Monrovia, it was confirmed that the man had contracted the virus as the results came out positive. He is expected to be flown back to the United States where he’ll undergo treatment.
As part of a preventive measure, four other teams members of NBC News who has not shown signs of contracting the virus will also be flown back to America where they’ll undergo precautionary quarantine.

Naomi, who began her modelling career at the age of 15 is taking a break from the catwalk to go into screen acting in a Lee Daniels’ drama titled as “Empire”. The highly anticipated drama has cast the 44-year-old super model as tempress Camilla.
Naomi will have a recurring role in the Drama and will be in steaming relationship with a younger man who is the heir potential heir to his father’s hip-hop empire.
The drama is focused on a couple who is divorced but run a hip-hop record company. The role of the divorced couple will be played by Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson.
Terrence Howard is an American actor, songwriter, record producer as well as singer. He has been featured in many prominent movies that includes August Rush, Lackawanna Blues, Get Rich or Die Tryin, Winnie, Ray, Crash, Four Brothers, Idlewild, The Brave One, and several other movies.
Born in 1970, Taraji P. Henson is an American actress and singer. She popularly known for 2008 role in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” where she played the role of Queenie. She was nominated “Best Supporting Actress” for the 2009 edition of the Academy Awards.

Naomi is so excited and finds it an honour to be be joining the acting elites that have worked with Daniels in the past.
“It’s an honour to follow in the footsteps of actresses like Halle Berry, Oprah, Gabourey Sidibe and Mo’Nique, and work with Lee Daniels,” the black model. “I’m looking forward to joining Lee and this amazing cast on set,” she added.
Media and entertainment mogul, Tyler is expecting his first child with his Ethiopian model girlfriend Gelila Bekele. Perry is 45 while Gelila is 28 and the couple has been in an on and off relationship for about five years now.
Tyler Perry confirmed the rumour that a baby is on the way over the weekend while being questioned by reporters at the New York Film Festival. Perry answered reporters questions by confirming he was actually expecting a baby with his model girlfriend.
“We’re good. Very happy. She’s excited, I’m excited so we’re very happy,” Tyler Perry told journalists.
During an interview with Steve Harvey last year, Perry expressed his need to become a father saying, “I know I would be a great father. I don’t want to work this hard. I don’t want to have all of this and not leave it to my children.”
While Perry talked about being a father during the interview, he also felt it would be difficult to do so as his schedules were very tight at the time.
“As hard as I’m working — doing 20 hours a day — now is not the time,” Perry told Harvey.
