British Born Girl Taken To Nigeria By Paternal Grandmother Without Permission Found

A British born girl that was taken to Nigerian by her paternal grandmother without her mother’s permission has been found. The kidnapped child, Lily was missing for about a week and her mother took to Twitter to campaign and solicit support to help find her missing daughter. Her efforts yielded the needed results as the news was well covered by Nigerian online media and resulted to the arrest of the woman who took the child to Nigeria secretly.

According to the mother, Temmy Moronke, her mother traveled to Port Harcourt where she went to pick up her daughter from the father’s family. In the picture above is Lily, her maternal grandmother, and popular Nigerian music artist, Tuface Idibia. Temmy said she was able to talk to her daughter after she was picked up by her mother.

Temmy Moronke said she has been the sole carer of her daughter since she was born. According to her, the father asked her to go for abortion when she was pregnant but she refused. And Lily was taken away by her paternal grandmother after she (Moronke) allowed her to stay at her place when she went on a visit to the UK.

Why That Human Hair Extension May Be Goat Hair

In a BBC article written by Sam Piranty and titled “The salons that hope you can’t tell goats and humans apart,” the writer narrates how many of the so-called human hair extension sold in China are actually taken from goats.

While the writer agrees he met a man who collects real human hair in a village, during a chat with a seller known as Lily in the mega-city of Guangzhou, he was told that while they actually sell real human hair extensions, most of the hair they alleged to be human hair extensions are actually goat hair. This the seller say they do in order to maximize their profit as prices have gone up.

Other tricks the seller said they employ in order to make more profit was to use fake scales in cheating customers with weight.

He said Lily also revealed to him that even though most of the human hair extensions are labelled as Brazilian, Peruvian or Indian, they are actually Chinese hair.

Narrating how most of the buyers are from African countries such as Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Congo, Angola and Uganda, the customer’s list Lily showed him also revealed that a majority of the buyers are actually from Africa as 39 countries out of the 37 on the list are in Africa.

Sam also said when he talked to Marie, a Ugandan buyer he met at Lily’s store, he asked if she was aware some of the hair they bought as human hair extension in China was actually goat hair, he said Marie replied in the affirmative confirming she was aware even though the Chinese sellers think they’re stupid and do not know.

Marie went on to whisper in Sam’s ear saying, “I laugh a lot when I go home and I know that the beautiful women of Kampala have goats on their heads.”

D’banj Becomes Apple/Beats By Dre African Ambassador

Popular Nigerian musician DBanj has signed a new celebrity endorsement deal with Apple to represent the Apple/Beats By Dre as their African Ambassador.

As part of the deal, the new Beats By Dre African Ambassador (D’banj) will get his own customized earphones that will be launched in December. Beats By Dre made the announcement and welcomed D’Banj to the team by tweeting through their Twitter account @beatsbydre, “Our boy @iamdbanj in his custom #StudioWireless. Welcome to #BeatsFam & congrats on 10 yrs in the game. #BeatsByDre.”

Beats Music & Beats Electronics, which is the company that makes Beats By Dre was acquired by Apple a few months ago for the sum of $3 billion. Dre’s earnings from the deal boosted his income and made him the highest earner of any musician that has ever been evaluated by Forbes Magazine on their list of highest earners in hip-hop.

In 2012, before the purchase by Apple, Dr Dre also made number one on the list (Forbes) as a result of the growth and earnings from Beats By Dre.

African-German Female Boxer Bintu Schmill Is New Junior Welterweight European Champion

The African-German Female Boxer Bintou Schmill is the new Junior Welterweight European Champion. The 30-year-old boxer fought against Serbian female boxer Champion Mirjana Vujic on K.O on the third round and emerged the winner of the title.

Bintou Schmill, also known as the Voice has already ringed as professional Boxer 9 times, with an incredible record of 9 Wins and 8 K.O.s .The most recent fight with the Serbian boxer took place on the 26th of September 2014 at the Saalbau Frankfurt-Nied city hall, where she won the title by knockout in the third round.

Bintou Yawa Schmill who is of Togolese ancestry became the new European Junior Welterweight Champion to own the belt awarded by IBF after the recent fight contest in Frankfurt.

Bintou is representing Africa in a field black African women are not popular and she has been taking giant strides while at it.

Google Restores Linda Ikeji’s Blog

Google restores Linda Ikeji’s Blog a day after it was suspended as a result of plagiarism and copyright infringement claim by Twitter user @MrAyeDee. Linda who was excited by Google’s move and quick action in restoring her blog and tweeted, “And Google restores http://lindaikeji.blogspot.com . I hear it’s a record. Normally it takes weeks or months to restore a deleted blog. But not LIB.”

“They found out the claims were bogus& deliberate sabotage. Happy to get my blog back. Thanks to all the guys at Google who worked tirelessly. Google restores LIB 24hrs after deleting it based on bogus claims. They usually don’t do this. I feel so blessed and so loved. Thanks LIBers,” she added.

After the tweets to announce the restoration of her blog on Blogger and how happy she was, the popular Nigerian blogger tweeted a link to an article she titled, “Between Linda Ikeji and Mr Aye Dee. The real shocking story .”

In the article, Linda Ikeji narrated how she’s known Mr Aye Dee whose real name is Mukhtar Alexander Dan’Iyan for many years and that he has been his very good friend and supporter. Miss Ikeji talked about how Alex, whom she knew then as Alex Info 1976AD used to send her articles to post on her blog as well as give her tips on how to grow her blog.

She said she lost contact with Alex sometime ago and was shocked to find out he was the @MrAyeDee that tried to shut down her blog. She then posted texts and screen grabs of her Google Hangouts conversation with @MrAyeDee.

Even though Linda Ikeji claimed she did not know @MrAyeDee was the same person as his long lost friend, the screen shots from their conversation showed the user’s name as Aye Dee.

In their alleged conversation, @MrAyeDee said he thought Linda Ikeji has become unreachable to him because she now sees herself as a big shot. He talked about how he tried to reach the popular Nigerian blogger several times with no results. He also said contacted her on several occasions to ask her to remove unauthorised content she took from him as his partners were not happy about it but that Linda ignored him. He said he had no option but to file DMCA claims against Linda’s blog after numerous attempts to reach her through her email and on Twitter requesting she take down his infringed content.

Jailhouse Lover Says OJ Simpson Has HIV

According to an Inquisitr report, OJ Simpson has HIV and has only a few weeks to live. The report alleged that he contracted the deadly virus from a transsexual lover he had a relationship with jail. In the past, similar stories had been published about Simpson alleging he has a short time to live. But Simpson being alive has proven the stories to be false.

OJ Simpson became very famous during the murder trial of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson as well as waiter, Ronald Lyle Goldman as it was a high profile case that was televised by Court TV and other cable and network news outlets.

Before the high profile trial that had 11 lawyers representing Simpson in court and another 25 working behind the scene, OJ Simpson was a former professional football star and actor.

OJ Simpson is currently serving a 33 years prison term and has already been in prison for 6 years as he was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping

Google Deletes Linda Ikeji’s Blog

Popular Nigerian blog, Lindaikeji.blogspot.com has been deleted. The popular Nigerian blogger has been having a battle with one Mr. Aye Dee who accused her of stealing his content without permission nor giving credit. According to Mr. Aye Dee, Linda Ikeji has stolen his content several times and each time he tries to contact her to credit him or remove his content from her blog, Linda never replies nor take any action.

Yesterday, Linda Ikeji dedicated a post to Mr. Aye Dee who she said was jealous of her and has been cyber-squatting on her names as she claims he’s the owner lindaikeji.net. According to the popular Nigerian blogger, Mr. Aye Dee and his accomplice has been trying to hack and spam her site for a while now. She also said they have been sending her all kinds of emails where they promised to bring down her blog.

While Google does not play with plagiarism and accusations of infringement on intellectual content, hosting her website on Google’s free server with a free Blogspot name made it easy for the search engine giant to take down the Lindaikeji’s blog as it is their property.

Last month, Linda Ikeji bought a new Range Rover that she claimed cost about ₦24 million (that’s about £90,000.00 or €115,000.00). According to most people, flaunting her newly acquired car is the reason her enemies are coming after her and trying to pull her down.

Linda Ikeji has used Twitter to assure her followers and blog visitors that her website is still reachable on lindaikeji.mobi. She encouraged them to continue reading news from her mobile website while she works on relaunching her website.

She also made another tweet where she thanked all her supporters for all the love and support they have given her since her blog was deleted. She said she was overwhelmed and making every effort to get a new site and that they should bear with her.

Oktoberfest: Usain Bolt Enjoys Beer And Rock Lederhosen

World’s fastest man Usain Bolt is in Munich attending Oktoberfest

Usain Bolt’s got ‘Hose in different area codes … as in lederhosen … ’cause the fastest man on the planet got all German’d out for Oktoberfest this weekend.

Bolt trekked over to Munich — where he got into the Oktoberfest spirit by pounding beer after beer after beer … at world class speeds.

Bolt LOVES the festival — he went last year too.

The most shocking part of the whole thing — beer consumption at Oktoberfest is reportedly WAAAYYY DOWN this year … by roughly 1 MILLION LITERS!!

However, alcohol poisoning at the event is also way down … so, there’s that.

Yay?

The 2014 Usain Bolt World Tour stopped in Munich this week for Oktoberfest celebrations.

Bolt, who has also visited New York, China, India, Costa Rica and Australia since ending his season Aug. 24, wore lederhosen, took a microphone in a packed Munich beer hall, air drummed to Kings of Leon’s “Sex on Fire” and sang along to Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” He also took smartphone video of a crowd hanging on his every move.

The six-time Olympic champion also visited Munich during Oktoberfest last year and partied in similar fashion.

Despite Bolt’s best efforts, however, beer consumption at Oktoberfest, which closed yesterday, was actually down on last year.
Around 6.3 million visitors consumed a total of 6.5 million litres, organisers reported, compared with 6.4 million guests and 7.7 million litres in 2013. Consequently, perhaps, cases of alcohol poisoning also fell, from 629 to 600.
