His first marriage was conducted in 1989 and lasted until 1993. Clooney refused to remarry after the end of the marriage. There was no offspring from his first marriage.

Former American President Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary Clinton are now the proud grandparents of their newly born granddaughter. George Clooney is finally married and officially a taken man. After many years of remaining single by refusing to marry, the 53-year-old Hollywood star has finally tied the knot with his British partner, Amal Alamuddin.
George and Amal Alamuddin were married at the Palazzo Papadopoli, Hotel Aman. Their wedding, which took place in a private venue in Venice, Italy was presided over by the former Mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni. The star-studded event had famous guests in attendance at the glamorous reception and nuptials and included Robert De Niro, Bill Murray, Matt Damon, Bono, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Anna Wintour, Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber and many others.
Clooney was first married in 1989 to Talia Balsam and their marriage lasted for four years (1989-1993) and produced no child. It took actor and filmmaker another 21 to open his self for marriage and finally tie the knot with Amal.
Amal is a lawyer for Doughty Street Chambers in London. She’s a graduate of the New York University School of Law and specializes in international law. In 2011, the British activist lawyer began representing WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. A Nigerian-British man known as Jeffrey Okafor (pictured above) has been arrested in Nigeria and is expected to be extradited to the United Kingdom where he fled from after being declared wanted by the British police on suspicion of killing DJ Carl Beatson Asiedu outside a London nightclub.
His arrest came after a Facebook appeal was made to help arrest the murder suspect who is trying to evade justice.
His arrest by the Nigerian police took place on Tuesday, September 23, 2014.
Jeffrey Okafor is suspected to be one of the people that took Carl Beatson Asiedu’s life on August 1, 2009, outside a London nightclub Vauxhall, in south London.
Carl Beatson Asiedu (pictured above) known by his stage name DJ Charmz was a popular entertainer well known in the London clubbing scene and had been featured in a BBC children’s show known as MI High.
The 19-year-old DJ had performed was killed after performing at the Club Life nightclub in Goding Street. He was stabbed in the heart after a fight broke out between his friends and another group.
In an appeal made by the victim’s father at the 5th anniversary of his son’s death, John Asiedu spoke of how his son’s death have been giving him heartache.
“I still feel the pain and get a lump in my throat whenever his tragic death crosses my mind, or when I hear that someone has been stabbed to death”, he said.
“Part of me died with him and I have to carry on living with what is left of me. Carl’s tragic death has changed my view of life, people, the justice system and the world.”
The Igbo Cultural Support Network (ICSN) will celebrate its 11th Annual Iri-ji (New Yam) Festival, at the Oakington Manor Hall, in the London Borough of Brent. The event is a celebration of the most beautiful aspects of the rich Igbo heritage and culture.
The Iri-ji (New Yam) Festival is a time of thanksgiving to God for making the farm yields possible and praying for good yields next planting season.
It is one of the most significant festivals amongst the Igbo tribe in Nigeria and is celebrated in all corners of the globe. This year will mark the 11th edition of the event. About 600 people were attended the event in 2013.

What Is IRI-JI About?
Yam is the most important food crop in Igboland. Evidence of this is borne by the cultural significance attached to Iri-ji in Igbo land.
The traditional Igbo society is mainly agrarian. Emphasis is placed on farming and the cultivation of sufficient food to last until the next food harvest. Special emphasis is placed on yam cultivation. The traditional Igbo man takes pride in showing off his yam barn neatly stacked with yam tubers from top to bottom. It signifies wealth and success.
In the days of old, a common question asked by a bride’s father when a young man signifies his intention to marry his daughter is “how big is your yam barn”? A big yam barn means the man is hardworking and can take care of his daughter.
The Iri-ji (new yam) festival was described by Odumegwu- Ojukwu (erstwhile Biafran Leader) as the “culmination of a work cycle and the beginning of another.” It is a time of thanksgiving to God for making the farm yields possible and praying for good yields next planting season.
The Iri-ji festival is celebrated at different times within the various Igbo communities, varying from August until October every year.
Am I Not A Mother is a documentary that tells the story of women that Post Natal Depression. The documentary was produced to raise awareness on the often misdiagnosed and misunderstood condition, particularly in the African community.
The focus of the film is on Zimbabwean mothers who have suffered from the stigma of having this condition. The aim of the film is to share the stories of these women and to inspire others to speak up and seek support.
Having a baby is usually thought of as a happy time. However, many new mothers may not necessarily feel this straight away. Women may experience a brief period of feeling emotional and tearful – known as the ‘baby blues’. It usually starts 3-10 days after giving birth and affects around 85% of new mothers. It is so common that it is considered normal.
However, around 10-15% of new mothers develop a much deeper and longer-term depression known as postnatal depression (PND). It usually develops within six weeks of giving birth and can come on gradually or all of a sudden. It can range from being relatively mild to very severe.
Between 10 and 30% of all mothers, in all circumstances, suffer from this middle-range depression. PND may develop slowly any time during the first year of the baby’s life. Untreated, it may continue as a chronic low-grade depression, becoming more acute with subsequent births. Every mother is different, and may have different combinations of symptoms.

Bow Wow and Erica were into a very private relationship. The media was unaware of their relationship until a few months ago. The first time the couple were seen together and made their relationship public was in February at BET’s 106 & Park hosted by Bow Wow. There, the two lovebirds shared a kiss in front of the camera. And it was just like they were officially announcing their relationship to the world. On a few occasions, the couple have been seen making club appearances together.
After the engagement, the couple attended the 2014 edition of BET Hip Hop Awards together. The BET red-carpet event took place on Saturday September 20th. And while answering interview questions from red carpet reporter Jack Thriller, the Love & Hip-Hop Star confirmed she and Bow Wow have just been engaged.
