Ghanaian designer, Selina Beb was the only Ghana-based brand to showcase its collection at the 2015 edition of Europe’s biggest African fashion week that took place at Olmpia West hall in London. Selena Beb’s runway show took place on August 7th that was the first day of Africa Fashion Week London. Apart from featuring on the runway, the brand was also an exhibitor at the two days event.
Selina Beb is a high-end Ghanaian accessories brand that specializes in unique and quality African inspired iconic pieces. Her runway show was opened and closed by Victoria Michaels, a top Ghanaian model and brand ambassador for Africa Fashion Week London.
Selina Bebaako-Mensah is the founder and creative director of Selina Beb. Apart from being an accessories fashion designer that makes products such as handbags, footwear and jewelry for men and women, Selina is also a broadcast journalist.
It has been a wonderful season for the African print fabric as fashionistas cannot get enough of it. The fashion blogger completed her look by wearing nude high heeled sandals from Payless, a clutch Nordstrom as well as a couple of bracelets.
She also wore a very large statement ring that went well with her bracelets.

#AFWL2015! The 2015 edition of Africa Fashion Week London took place at Olympia West Hall London on the 7th and 8th of August. The first designer to showcase her collection at this year’s event was Tumiila. Tumiila, who was one of the youngest designer at this year’s Europe’s biggest African fashion event received a lot of applause from the guest whom apparently liked her pieces. The 2015 Tumiila collection featured a lot of monochrome colour. While there were other pieces with bright and colourful African fabric, most of her collection consisted of black and white. The young British designer is of Nigerian origin.
Beyonce is the cover girl of Vogue Magazine’s September 2015 issue. Looking fierce as always, the mother of one feature article is titled: “Just B. Beyonce and the art of global domination.”
The Flawlesssinger, who usually wear blond and lighter shades of hair had it styled to a darker colour by Kim Kimble for the shoot. The powerhouse star’s makeup was done by Francesca Tolot while her manicure was by Lisa Logan. The set design for the shoot was done by Jack Flanagan and produced by Erick Jussen for GE Projects.

Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam (AFWA) has announced it will be dedicating a full day to men’s fashion and collections. The biggest African fashion event in the Netherlands is following the footsteps of top fashion weeks such as London Fashion Week that announced in January 2012 London that it would dedicate an entire weekend to menswear fashion designers – Singapore that dedicated a few days to men’s shows, and Los Angeles that followed suite by launching Men’s Fashion Week LA in 2012.
Other fashion weeks that have taken that same route is Vancouver that does Men’s Fashion Week, New York that has supported the developments in the menswear segment, even though it is yet to announce a Fashion Week dedicated entirely to menswear fashion designers.

Idris Elba has the honour of being the first man ever to be featured on the cover of Maxim magazine. The Magazine is famous for putting half naked women on its cover. This time around, they decided to do something different by featuring a man. And Idris was picked as the right choice.
On how Idris Elba was the obvious choice, Kate Lanphear the editor-in-chief of Maxin magazine said:
