Stunning Ways to Style Your Ankara Pencil Skirt

    0

Fashion is an evolving art, and Ankara pencil skirts perfectly blend cultural heritage and modern elegance. These vibrant skirts bring out the beauty of African prints while allowing for endless styling possibilities. Whether you’re looking for a sophisticated office outfit, a casual street-style look, or a glamorous event ensemble, there’s an Ankara pencil skirt style for every occasion. Let’s dive into three ways to rock your Ankara print pencil skirt.

The Chic and Classy Corporate Look

If you want to make a statement at work while maintaining a professional look, an Ankara pencil skirt paired with a bold, stylish blouse is the way to go. The first image showcases a stunning red blouse with a bow tie detail, matched with a high-waisted Ankara pencil skirt. The structured blouse adds a touch of elegance, while the Ankara print keeps the outfit vibrant and unique. Accessories such as a sleek clutch, statement rings, and strappy heels complete the look, making it perfect for business meetings, office wear, or formal gatherings. To recreate this look, opt for a solid-colored blouse that complements the print of your skirt, and keep your accessories minimal yet elegant.

    The Effortlessly Casual Look

For those days when you want to stay stylish yet comfortable, pairing your Ankara pencil skirt with a fitted top and sneakers is the way to go. The second image features a casual yet fashionable take on this look, where a simple white long-sleeve top is tucked into a blue Ankara pencil skirt adorned with circular prints. White sneakers add a sporty and relaxed feel, making them an excellent choice for casual outings, running errands, or meeting up with friends. To achieve this style, wear a form-fitting neutral shade top, pair it with your favorite Ankara skirt, and complete the look with sneakers or flats. This combination proves that Ankara skirts can be effortlessly chic, even in a laid-back setting.

    The Glamorous and Elegant Look

An Ankara pencil skirt can be styled in a way that radiates glamour for a special event or a night out. The third image exemplifies this with a beautiful off-shoulder ruffled white blouse paired with a long Ankara pencil skirt featuring bold patchwork prints and fringe details at the hem. This outfit perfectly balances sophistication and drama, making it ideal for weddings, formal events, or celebratory occasions. To pull off this look, choose a statement top that complements the print of your skirt, add elegant heels, and accessorize with bold earrings or a bracelet. The off-shoulder blouse accentuates the neckline, adding a feminine and stylish touch to the overall look.

Why You Need an Ankara Pencil Skirt in Your Wardrobe

    • Cultural Pride: Wearing Ankara allows you to embrace and celebrate African heritage through fashion.
    • Versatility: These skirts can be dressed up or down for any occasion.
    • Flattering Fit: The pencil skirt silhouette enhances curves and creates a streamlined look.
    • Timeless Appeal: Ankara prints never go out of style and can be worn across seasons.

Ankara pencil skirts are a must-have for every woman who loves to express herself through fashion. Whether you prefer a bold corporate look, a casual street-style vibe, or an elegant evening outfit, there’s an Ankara style for you. Experiment with different pairings, embrace the vibrancy of African prints, and make every outfit uniquely yours!

4 Benefits Of Organic Coconut Oil On The Hair

    0

Organic coconut oil is rich in fatty acids. It is those fatty acids that drench your hair in moisture and nourish your scalp. The coconut plant, botanically speaking, is a fibrous one-seeded fleshy fruit with thin skin. It has a central stone containing the seed.

So then, is coconut a fruit only?

The coconut is a fruit, a nut, and a seed. With all of that going for it, no wonder it is so popular around the world. People living in coastal areas of the world grow coconuts because of the many uses of the plant.

Coconut is rich in vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates, which is also good for the human body. In addition, it is used in the preparation of creams and cosmetic soap. Organic coconut oil has been used for centuries as hair oil. This tropical palm contains residue, Cocos nucifera, which keeps your hair strong and prevents hair loss.

    Organic Coconut Oil Benefits

According to Gene Ashburner, a natural remedies expert; said that apart from the oil being used for hair growth, it can also be used in getting rid of dandruff and prevents lice.

Promotes hair growth by preventing breakages and boost blood circulation. This is due to its property of fatty acids, which works with natural protein in the hair to prevent hair breakage thus allowing for hair growth. It grows your hair long and thicker because it has Lauric acid that penetrates the hair shaft and improves healthy hair.

Anti-dandruff. The fatty acid that is found in the oil acts as an anti-dandruff agent, it kills the viruses and bacteria on the scalp. When mixed with Castrol oil and lukewarm water it treats dandruff effectively.

It is used as a moisturiser giving your hair a shiny appearance. Use of the oil makes the hair softer and more lustrous. It can be used as a conditioner. It has no chemical properties like those found in other hair care products. Coconut oil is able to penetrate hair follicles saving your hair strands from environmental damage and damage that occurs when combing the hair with a small tooth comb or too rough.

You are going to love using coconut oil on your hair. However, make sure to use pure coconut oil only. I use it once a week with a cap on for about three or four hours, sometimes overnight. It makes my hair grow and it always feels soft and moisturised.

Travel Must: 6 Tips to Know If You’re Flying for the First Time

    0

Flying for the first time can cause some people, a lot of stress and anxiety. We usually don’t forget our first flight, and probably the most experiences sound amazing. If you are panicky about flying or never flown, the idea of going on the flight might seem intimidating. Nevertheless, the experience from your home, coming on the way to the airport, airport checking, boarding and flight will be an adventurous experience than you might think. Africa’s number one hotel booking portal, Jumia Travel shares six tips to help travellers flying for the first time to become accustomed to the new experience.

    Book your ticket

If you have decided to travel in flight, you will have to confirm if there is any seat available to proceed with booking your flight and purchase your ticket. In some cases, you might not get a ticket for the day you are looking, so it’s best you book as early as possible. This gives you two benefits: first, you have a better chance to get a ticket and second you might get a discount or special offer ticket.

    Prepare for flight

Before you go to the airport, ensure you have all the necessary documents. At the airport, you have to follow the rules and sometimes it might take time. So make sure you have sufficient time – an hour early will be perfect. If you are taking luggage with you, make sure the weight doesn’t exceed the airline’s acceptable weight. Or else, you might have to pay for your luggage if you exceed the normal weight. Make use of the extra free opportunity of taking some additional stuff with you on the plane with a small bag.

ALSO SEE: Travel: Head Over To Pemba Beach Hotel And Spa In Mozambique.

    Check In

Once you get to the airport terminal, you first need to check in. You have to show your ticket and your form of IDs with necessary travel document (if required). The check-in officer will give you boarding pass and receipt of luggage.

    Boarding

After checking in, you need to go to the departure lounge where you will be subject to security checks. You may have to put your phone on aeroplane mode or make it off, jacket, laptop outside for inspection. The security officer will stamp your handbag and boarding pass if you successfully meet the requirement. If you are travelling abroad you will have to pass through immigration checks. You have to show all your documents – visa, boarding pass, passport and invitation letter. If they found anything suspicious, they can reject your flight. After completing all the procedures, you will need to wait for boarding announcement and show your boarding pass again.

    Inside the flight

Look for your seat number printed on your boarding pass, although some small aircraft may not have seating arrangement, so you can seat anywhere. The cabin crew will close the doors when all passengers are on the plane. Before takeoff, they will take you through some safety demonstrations. There will be some signals for seatbelt and prohibition of -smoking. You are not allowed to stand up while the seatbelt signal shows. Once the aircraft reaches a certain height, the captain sees it fit to turn off the signal, you can use the latrine or eat your food once the signal light is turned off.

    After Landing

The plane will take you to the terminal. Don’t stand up until the plane stops and it’s announced by the cabin crew that it’s safe to prepare to leave the plane; you have to wait for the signal of seat belt light turning off as well. You can then exit the plane.

There you have it, the top six tips to help travellers flying for the first time to become accustomed to the new experience and fly like they have been doing before.
