Racism on the Rise in Italy, Says a Report to Parliament

    0
According to a report to the parliament, racism is on the rise in Italy and Eastern Europeans immigrants are hit hardest.

Racism on the Rise in Italy, Says a Report to ParliamentRome, March 8 – Racism is on the rise in Italy, especially in the media and on the Internet, said a report by the National Office against Racial Discrimination (UNAR) presented to Parliament on Thursday.

One out of four victims of racially-motivated discrimination in Italy comes from Eastern European countries and the Balkans, the report said. North Africans are the targets of 16.6% of discriminatory acts and Latin Americans 13.8%, it said.

In February, a Council of Europe report on racism and xenophobia said that the situation in Italy has worsened over the last five years and criticised the country for fostering a climate of “intolerance,” especially regarding Roma (Gypsies), immigrants and Muslims.

Italian soccer has also been dogged by racism in recent years.

On Monday, Lazio were fined 20,000 euros by Serie A’s sporting judge after their fans directed racist abuse at Brazilian defender Juan during Sunday’s derby in the capital.

Karrine Blasts New Husband on Twitter, Admits Cheating With Rapper

    0

Former video vixen Karrine “Super Head” Steffans has blasted her new husband on Twitter in an explosive rant and admits to cheating on him with a rapper.
The couple have only been married for a short few months, but it seems she has already grown tired of his ways. In a rather lengthy Twitter rant, Karrine put her unidentified hubby on full blast, calling him out for having no career and a small penis.

Karrine Blasts New Husband on Twitter, Admits Cheating With Rapper

“I’m tired of pretending your mediocracy is okay with me. I’m tired of pretending I don’t miss G650′s. I’m tied of pretending you’re not a burden.I’m tired of pretending I don’t deserve a f***ing BOSS!” Karrine ranted.

“I’m tired of you driving my car. Stop telling me you love me as if you’re doing me some sort of favor. I don’t need you to love me. I love me. I’m tired of pretending like you shouldn’t be intimidated by the other men in my life. Cuz you should. I’m tired of pretending as if I support your bulls**t dreams.”

Just when you thought she couldn’t get any harsher, Karrine takes it to a personal level. “I hate your whole face. I’m tired of acting like the sex is good.I hate when you roll all the way over onto my side of the bed to hold me. I’m over here for a reason.”

“I’m tired of pretending your dk isn’t the smallest dk I’ve ever seen in my life. Cuz it is. I’m tired of pretending your favorite rapper didn’t just beat it up on Friday. I’m tired of paying for everything,” she says alluding to cheating with a no-doubt famous rapper.

“I’m tired of moaning when I can’t feel anything! I’m tired of having to think about someone else to get off. I’m tired of having to lock my phone when you’re around.I’m tired of taking showers with you. Can I get a moment! Damn!”
“Yes. He’s better than you. Next question. All night. ‘Til 6 in the morning. Next question.Yes. And I didn’t have to pay for none of it. Next question. Presidential suite. Next question. About 10 inches. Next question.69. Next question. Like a boss. Next question. Balls deep. Next question. I’m tired of having to pretend you’re not the 3rd worst decision I’ve ever made.”

She then concludes: “You should really be with that one chick who bagged our groceries this weekend. That’s more your speed.”

    Ouch!

Was Karrine in the wrong for airing their business on Twitter, or does he deserve it for apparently being a good for nothing?

Even more importantly, who do you think the famous rapper is? She’s been through a few, but she did say last month that she “will always love Lil Wayne”…

Nigerian Gay Asylum Seeker set to be Deported from the UK

    0

A Nigerian former student fears he will be persecuted if he is deported back home. The Nigerian gay asylum seeker has said he would ‘prefer dying’ than being repatriated back to his native country from the UK.

John Abraham, 25, is currently in Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centre near Heathrow airport, west London and is due to be deported to Nigeria on 8 March.

He told Gay Star News that an article on our site was his last hope to avoid being sent back where he fears he will face persecution and physical attack.

And he asked us to identify him as he said the danger to his safety would be no greater if he was deported – as everyone in his community in Nigeria already knows he is gay.

Abraham said: ‘I left Nigeria in 2008 and came to Britain to study business administration.

‘But while I was here I introduced my boyfriend to my cousin and she told my family. My father is a pastor and my family has abandoned me and now the whole community knows.

‘I would be sent back if I was attacked and persecuted but I also wouldn’t have any life as a gay man. I would prefer dying to going back.’

Abraham said he also had a male partner in Nigeria too, as a 19 to 20-year-old student, but his sexuality was not known by others at that time.

Despite his current partner attending court with him, asylum judges and officials have refused to accept he is gay, Abraham claims.

His case was further complicated by his arrest for ‘handling stolen goods’, which he says was actually an innocent mistake as he was trying to help his friend.

Bisi Alimi, who is Africa director of international LGBT charity Kaleidoscope and from Nigeria himself said that he had met Abraham’s boyfriend and several other friends and believed him to be a genuine gay asylum seeker.

But he said the UK asylum system struggled due to a stereotyped understanding of what lesbian and gay people looked like.

Alimi added: ‘There is no framework in this country to allow people to prove their sexuality which is a flaw to the system. If you don’t know what you need to do you stand the chance of losing your case.’

He said that Kaleidoscope hoped to work with the Home Office to improve their policies, procedures and training.

Meanwhile, he warned against sending Abraham back to Nigeria, where homosexuality is criminalised.

He said: ‘The situation in Nigeria is really bad. There is very strong, aggressive, hate coming from there. We get reports even now of gay people being the victims of police brutality and being harassed and abused by the community.’

Sarkozy Says There are Too Many Immigrants in France

In an interview on French television, President Nicolas Sarkozy said there are too Many Immigrants in France and they are not integrating them properly.

Sarkozy Says There are Too Many Immigrants in France

“Today we have a problem,” Sarkozy said Tuesday night on France 2 TV.

“Our system of integration is working worse and worse, because we have too many foreigners on our territory and we can no longer manage to find them accommodation, a job, a school,” he said.

France places a premium on national identity, pressing the population to put “Frenchness” before religion or national background.

Sarkozy is running for a second term in office, with voting set for April 22. He faces a strong challenge from Francois Hollande of the Socialist party and a range of candidates from smaller parties, including the far-right Marine Le Pen.

Sarkozy, a conservative, offered cautious praise for Hollande, but said he could not imagine his rival as president.

“Francois Hollande is an intelligent man,” Sarkozy said. “I do not have a problem with him. The only thing is he has never held office at the state level. Honestly, can you imagine Francois Hollande as president of France? Imagine it!”

He said peace in the Middle East would be a top priority for him if he were re-elected.

“I hope that France — and all of Europe — we would take an initiative for the year 2012 to be the year of peace between Israel and the Palestinians,” he said.

And he said if he won a second term he would “celebrate with those I love — my wife and daughter.”

Issues surrounding immigration and integration have troubled French politicians for years.

Last year, a controversial French law went into effect banning Islamic face coverings in public places.

In 2010, hundreds of Muslim youths rioted after a man died in a shootout with police.

France has had an influx of about 130,000 people from other countries each year for the past several years, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The country also had about 48,000 asylum seekers in 2010.

The French population is about 66 million, according to the CIA World Factbook.

Nigerian Multi-million Pound Drug Smuggler Given 30 years in the UK

Nigerian Multi-million Pound Drug Smuggler Given 30 years in the UK

A Nigerian Multi-million Pound Drug Smuggler has been sentenced to 30 years in prison in the UK. The man who is alleged to be guilty of smuggling hundreds of millions of pounds worth of drugs into the UK was jailed for 30 years on Friday 2 March, after an investigation by officers of the UKBA.

Forty-eight years old Adegboyega Adeniji, living at 48 Sandmere Close in Hemel Hempstead was stopped for control by the UKBA officers at Heathrow after flying in on a flight from Amsterdam Schiphol on 4 April 2011.

Examinations of his 2 suitcases uncovered the huge quantity of drugs that was stacked in them. They content was 31 kg of cocaine, 5 kg of heroin and 2 kg of methamphetamine. The haul had a total street value of over £4million.

When the UKBA investigators examined a flat Adeniji rented in Regent’s Plaza, Kilburn, another 23 suitcases, many of which tested positive for traces of drugs were discovered.

They also established the proof that he had previously done the same journey to Amsterdam on numerous occasions. He usually travels under the guise of a businessman supplying heavy machinery to the oil business in Nigeria.

According to Jim Jarvie, the deputy director of criminal and financial investigation team to the UK Border Agency,

‘Adeniji was clearly a significant figure at the centre of an extensive criminal network. He was involved in the importation and distribution of the class A drugs on a grand scale.

ALSO SEE: Nigerian Couple Jailed For Money Laundering And Human Trafficking.

‘Although the true amount of drugs he smuggled into the UK will never be known, it is probably safe to assume he has been responsible for the importation of tens – if not hundreds – of millions of pounds worth.’

Adeniji’s flat in Kilburn was the heart of his criminal business. It was the place where he and possibly others who worked with him, had stored the drugs they sneaked into the UK.

In addition to the abandoned suitcases, the UKBA detectives also found scales, a money counting machine, extra packages of drugs and about £2,000 cash.

Examination of his mobile phone revealed he had steady contacts with associates in Amsterdam. Some of the texts messages he sent read like shopping lists of illegal drugs and prices.

Adeniji would generally use a room in a nearby hotel in Maida Vale or a rented apartment to carry out his drugs transactions. Text messages were found inviting others to the hotel, and these corresponded with his style of travel to Amsterdam. Most of the names in the texts matched names found on the packages of drugs he was arrested with at Heathrow.

When his bank account was controlled, unidentified cash deposits of approximately £1m was found to have been paid in.

Ever since Adeniji’s has been arrested, assets of about £500,000 and £1,000,000 have been frozen by the UKBA investigators. They will now be the subject of Proceeds of Crime Act confiscation proceedings.

Adeniji acknowledged importation charges. On the other hand, he denied conspiring to import class A drugs. A jury at Isleworth Crown Court unanimously found him guilty. On that same day, he was sentenced to 30 a years imprisonment.
