President Barack Obama’s Parenting Advice to Jay-Z: Help Beyoncé Out

As a new dad, Jay-Z received some parenting advice from a guy who knows a thing or two about being the man of the house. The White House, that is.

President Barack Obama, who has two daughters, Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, with wife and First Lady Michelle, offered Beyoncé‘s husband some words of wisdom upon the birth of the couple’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in January.

“We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends. We talk about the kids,” Obama tells Cleveland’s Z107.9. “I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyoncé out [with the baby] and not leaving it all to mom and the mother-in-law.”
Besides, as Obama expressed last month, the two men have plenty in common. “Jay knows what my life is like,” he previously said. “We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are.”

Aside from being friends “over the last several years,” Obama tells Z107.9, his family also considers themselves fans of the musical powerhouses, whom he calls “good people” and “down-to-earth folks.”

“Beyoncé could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls,” says Obama, who’s gearing up for the Nov. 6 election. “The girls are big Beyoncé fans.”

Black Fashion Week with Senegal-Born Designer Ndiaye in Paris

Black Fashion Week with Senegal-Born Designer Ndiaye in Paris

A lot of Africans are going far with amazing talents in fashion and creativity. And Adama Ndiaye is one of them. The Senegal-born designer, based in Paris has organized Black Fashion Week (BFW) which took place in the city of Light last weekend.

The talented designer decided to change the conception of lack of diversity in fashion as it has been written in articles. She went on to create the Black Fashion Week event that will have promotion beyond African borders. Designers who are well-known in Africa or in their country but who do not have access to the global market will have the chance to do that through Black Fashion Week Paris.

According to Ndiaye, she wanted most of the models to be blacks, it was also an occasion to get on the catwalk since most of the shows look for more expensive white models.”

While the Paris edition was the debut of Black Fashion Week, the inaugural edition of the fashion week was held last year in Prague. Ndiaye is taking her show on the road, with BFWs scheduled for Montreal and Salvador de Bahia in Brazil.

Colour Blocking For Men: Outfits For Inspirations

    0

Check these outfits to know the right way to do colour blocking for men. If you’re a true fashionista, you won’t want to miss this trend. And knowing how to do it is the first place to start.

Colour Blocking For Men: Outfits For Inspirations

The photos and tips in this post will give you some ideas on how to rock and nail this trend that allows you to wear a mix of bright or bold colours. To have a great sense of colour blocking fashion, you need to know how fashion trendsetters are doing and get inspirations for your own unique style.

While you can have great fun with colour blocking for men, not knowing how to do it will make you look like a clown or stripes of the rainbow. The colour blocking trend allows you to mix clashing colours and still come out looking fly. But while mixing those bright and bold colours, do not go for more than four shades in one outfit. You have to be moderate about colour blocking for men, otherwise, you’ll look like a mess.

The best and most interesting colours to pair when creating a colour blocking look are primary and secondary colours. Pastels are not so great for creating this trendy look. Like we’ve already mentioned, poppy and contrasting solids are the best ones to go for when layering your colour blocking for men look.

Colour blocking for men is one of the boldest trends of the moment. It is not for those with a fainted hearts. As you all know, the majority of men go for the ‘greyscale’ colours, therefore, it is not a look that everyman can rock. But for those fashionista men, as well as those that like to take fashion risks, this look will make you look fly if you know how to pair it.

Germany’s Schaeuble Pushes EU Economic Union

Germany's Schaeuble Pushes EU Economic Union

Germany has called on countries using the euro to take decisive steps to bring about closer fiscal integration.

Berlin wants the EU’s 27 countries to consider pooling more economic sovereignty at a summit in Brussels which begins on Thursday.

French President Francois Hollande says an end to the Eurozone crisis is “very close” and wants a deal agreed on the first stage of a banking union.

But Germany argues that the proposed deadline is unrealistic.

The proposal for a single banking regulator was agreed at the EU’s June summit.

But Berlin says there will be no final decision in Brussels because of concerns about plans for the regulator to supervise an estimated 6,000 banks across the Eurozone.

Germany wants to continue regulating its financial institutions and is unhappy with a plan eventually to hand the European Central Bank full supervisory control.

Instead, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble has proposed a more powerful role for the EU Economic and Monetary Commissioner in regulating national budgets. Chancellor Angela Merkel is understood to back his idea.

The commissioner should have the ability to veto a budget if it breaks deficit rules, the finance minister argues.
    ‘Not only the Germans’

BBC Europe correspondent Chris Morris says that in setting out plans for full fiscal union, Mr Schaeuble has set out a fairly ambitious negotiating position.

The finance minister’s plan would require a convention to be set up next year in order to change EU treaties, but many Eurozone countries believe other priorities should be addressed first, our correspondent says.

“We are all taking part in this solidarity, not only the Germans,” Mr Hollande said in a newspaper interview.

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso warned on Wednesday that a lack of convergence towards a closer union was “nourishing populist debates ultimately to put an end to this project”.

“It is clear that the euro area needs to evolve to a fiscal union… and ultimately a political union,” he told the centre-right European People’s Party congress in Bucharest.

The Brussels summit will take place against a backdrop of calmer European stock markets than in previous meetings and less concern over the debt crises in Spain and Greece.

Although Greeks are set to hold a general strike on Thursday, the Athens government and its international creditors are said to have reached a deal on the austerity measures needed before the next bailout instalment is handed over.

“I am confident we are doing everything we have to do in order to get it soon so that we can move towards recovery,” Greek PM Antonis Samaras said.

Although there is growing speculation that Spain will soon ask for Eurozone help in tackling its debt crisis, Madrid has seen its borrowing costs fall and may not ask for any aid at all.
