Nigerian model Fall On The Runway Just Like Naomi Campbell In 1993

The EPIC FALL moment that every model dread, tumbling in the runaway with loads of photographers ready to capture every moment of it. A Nigerian model had her own fair share of the experience as she went head over heels while walking in platform shoes and a knee-length printed dress. The model was modelling for the Nigerian fashion house Kinabuti in front of invited guests at the Italian consulate.

The Nigerian model is not the only one to have had such an experience, most models have. Even supermodel, Naomi Campbell had her EPIC FALL on the runway while wearing a pair of Vivienne Westwood heels at Paris Fashion Week in 1993.

While it must have been a very awkward moment for the Nigerian model, it is sure a buzz for her career and the label she was modelling for. The model’s fall made the news viral that a lot of media that would have ordinarily not featured the event did and therefore generating a lot of publicity and brand awareness for them.

High street clothing is not only meant for the poor and middle-class citizens. A-list celebrities and even royalties have been seen wearing designs from clothes from the high street.

In 2006, before the Duchess of Cambridge became a royal, she was seen wearing a cheap Topshop dress at the while out and about and shopping in London. This was years before she was seen wearing another Topshop dress to launch of Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden Hertfordshire on Friday, April 25, 2013. The polka-dot Topshop dress cost just £38 and was sold out after fashionistas saw the duchess rocking it and looking elegant as usiual.

Kate is not the only famous person to be seen in a Topshop dress, the First Lady of the United, Michelle Obama has been seen wearing Topshop clothing on several occasions. Several British and American celebrities have been seen rocking Topshop dresses as well.

Nigerian Woman In Coma – Attempted Suicide Due To Deportation Order

A Nigerian woman married to a British man is currently in a coma for attempting suicide because of a deportation order from the UK Border Agency (UKBA). She said she ran away from Nigeria after witnessing the murder of her father and consequently subjected to sexual abuse.

May Brown, 19 is currently studying Public Affairs at Weymouth College and hopes to go to university and become a barrister.

The Nigerian teenager moved to the UK three years ago on a student visa and later applied for an asylum that was denied. “May fled to Britain from her home country three years ago after witnessing her father’s murder and being subjected to sexual abuse,” the UK Daily Mail wrote.

In December 2012, the Nigerian woman married Michael Brown, a 34-year-old British man she met a year ago. However, the UKBA refuse to see their union as a legitimate one. “UK Border Agency officials believe their marriage to be a ‘sham’ with no ’emotional attachment,” said Michael, her husband.

As a result, May was due to be deported today. Distressed at the prospect of returning to Nigeria, the teenager took overdose medication.

May wrote the following in her suicide note;

‘I am deeply sorry that I had to go this way, without even saying goodbye.
‘The UK immigration has finally driven me insane. They’ve pushed me too far this time and I can’t take the pain anymore.
‘I don’t want a life or a future you won’t be part of. I love you so much, more than life itself and can’t endure the agony of not being with you.
‘Please forgive me for ending it this way. It’s better to die with my dignity than be subjected to torture and undignified death back in Nigeria.’

She said: ‘If they send me back to Nigeria they are signing my death warrant, they will cut my life short because I will be killed.
‘I have found peace with Michael, he gave me a reason to live. I have got a family here and we don’t claim any benefits.
‘Michael works and I am studying to become a barrister, we have not harmed anybody.’

Her mother-in-law, Helen-Claire Brown, was the one who found her collapsed on the bathroom floor on Monday morning. According to her, “what kind of world do we live in when a 19-year-old girl who has been through so much already feels she has no other choice but to kill herself?”

“We cannot comment in detail on this case while legal proceedings are ongoing. In cases where people are found to have no right to remain in the UK they should leave voluntarily or face removal,” a Home Office spokesman said.
