#AFWL2015: Tickets Now Available To Attend Europe’s Biggest African Fashion Show

Tickets to attend the 5th edition of Africa Fashion Week London are now available to purchase. The 5th season of Europe’s biggest African fashion event will bring together a cacophony of African designs, talents and diverse ethnic influences that contribute to fashion in the United Kingdom.

Since its launch in 2011, this inspirational platform for African designers and African inspired fashion has been a great avenue for new and emerging designers who are inspired by the rich culture of Africa and incorporate its heritage into their contemporary designs. Upcoming models and designers have also used the platform to make their mark in the international fashion world.

Kanye West Named Most Stylish Man Alive By GQ Magazine

American rapper and father of one, Kanye West has been named one of the Most Stylish Men Alive by GQ Magazine. His proud reality TV star wife, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share her man’s latest title and posted the magazine cover with the caption: “Most stylish man alive!!!!! @GQ.”

Speaking with the New York Times’ fashion magazine in April on how fashion design has been a lifelong dream, the fashion entrepreneur and Balmain ambassador said: “I dreamed since I was a little kid, of having my own store where I could curate every shoe, sweatshirt and colour. I have sketches of it. I cried over the idea of having my own store.”

Beyoncé & Jay-Z In Matching Denim Outfit

Mega superstars and celebrity power couple, Beyonce and Jay-Z attended Wes Lang art show in Los Angeles wearing a matching Denim outfit. The event, Wes Lang’s The Longest Night Of The Year, was held at Hollywood’s Milk Studios.

Beyonce wore a light denim button-down shirt and spiced up the casual look with a pair of bug-eyed sunglasses from Australia eye-wear brand Quay. The statement eye piece is very affordable as it cost $48. Queen Bey wore her curly locks up in a bun and coloured her lips with a red wine lipstick.

Her rapper husband wore a stone-washed denim jacket and ‘blinged’ it up with an over-sized gold medallion necklace that draped around his neck. The Roc Nation boss also wore a few pieces of large gold rings and a pair of weighty gold watch as he enjoyed the event while sipping a glass of rose.

3D-Printed Volcanic Jewelry Breaks the Mold for Fashion Accessories

Until recently, imperfection wasn’t the easiest thing to engineer in a manufactured product. With 3D printing, however, it’s simple to create a digital design file that mimics the intricacy of our natural world. That’s exactly what Amsterdam-based designer Maria Cichy and the Freshfiber team did with their “Volcanic Rock” collection, which takes the look of cooled lava rock and transposes it onto a line of fashionable accessories. Their 3D-printed rings, laptop bags, phone cases, and belts have a porous, irregular texture that is actually crafted from durable nylon, but doesn’t look man-made at all. The latest 3D-printing processes (such as selective laser sintering, or SLS) and filament materials have allowed for a quicker turnaround and stronger pieces. The brand was originally launched as a record label before its founders Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki expanded it to include fashion. At almost 60, black and iconic supermodel, Iman has the body most women in their 20’s would die to have. Iman, who is also an actress and entrepreneur is the cover model of Vanity Fair Italia July issue.

Speaking with the magazine, the Somali-American model talked about her secret to being flawless at almost 60.

“I go to the gym, I am attentive to the diet. And I’m not complaining of the extra pounds, at least a couple, because they act as a natural botox. When women get older the first place you see it is the face that becomes too thin, worn out, tired. And then they go to get botox, but for me the best remedy is a bit ‘overweight’.” she told the magazine.

Iman whose 60th birthday is on July 25th 2015 – is married to rock star David Bowie and they both have one child together.

See photos from North West’s Disneyland birthday party that took place yesterday. The family event had in attendance North’s mum and dad, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, the Kardashian and Jenner clan, as well as Tyga and his son, King. Grandmother, Kris Jenner was unable to make it to the party as she’s currently in Paris.

But Kris took to Instagram to celebrate her granddaughter’s new age by posting a message that read: “Happy Birthday to my beautiful little Granddaughter North !!! I love you my little TuTu girl… Thank you for bringing so much joy laughter and love into our lives!!!!! YOU and your precious cousins are the greatest blessings and gifts!!! #northwest #bestdirection #lovebug #youaretwo!!!!!”

Kylie Jenner was dressed in tight-fitting white jeans and a matching crop top as they joined the whole family to celebrate North turning two. His Tyga dressed in coordinated white as he sat next to the 17-year-old and her siblings for a family boat trip. Kim took to Instagram to thank Disneyland for the fab day.

Happy birthday to North West as she turns a year older today. Kanye and Kim’s little princess turned 2 today and her mother took to Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s latest milestone. The reality TV star and mother of one posted a photo of North dressed in a Mickey Mouse outfit on her Instagram page and wrote: “Happy birthday to my sweetest Minnie Mouse! Thank you Disneyland for the most amazing day! I will post more pics later today was a busy day!”
