Since it emerged that Lupita Nyong’o’s controversial white pearl dress is not worth $150,000 and that the pearls are fake, the story has turned out to be one of Hollywood’s Oscars drama. After the thief who stole the dress took 2 of the pearls for evaluation, returned it, and informed TMZ they were fake, the story has now taken a new turn.
According to TMZ, the Calvin Klein team are also claiming they were never the one that said the dress was worth an alleged $150,000 and $10 MILLION.
“Did anyone ever say they were real from Calvin Klein? I always assumed everyone knew they were fake, but I guess not,” A source directly connected with the Women’s Creative Director of Calvin Klein, Francisco Costa, told TMZ.
“Do they really make dresses out of real jewels since Cleopatra died?” the source added.
TMZ also reported that the Law enforcement sources told them the Calvin Klein‘s team never told them the pearls were real or fake and that the only person that valued the star’s Oscar dress at $150K was Lupita’s stylist.
