X-Factor comes to Nigeria through Globacom sponsorship and according to sources, the winning will be going home with about 24 million Naira.
Beside the juicy prize of 24 million Naira, the winner will get a contract with Sony Music. However, it has not been confirmed weather the contract will be a Sony Worldwide deal or a deal covering only Africa.
The last time a talent show winner was promised an international deal was in 2007. Since the scandal of Timi Dakalo and West Africa Idol 2007, no talent show winner has been made such an offer.
At there moment, there s an ongoing process for the election of judges, hosts and other elements to help kick off the show. And according to sources, the full announcement should be made next week.
