The dress pictured above has been causing commotion online as everyone seems to be confused with the colour. From big media outlets like CNN and TIMES to big celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Julianne Moore, Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift, everyone has been talking.
And Twitter and Facebook users are not left out as both social media networks have exploded with the debate about the dress and its colour. While some say it is white and gold, others say it is blue and black.
There seems to be no consensus as other people are also naming other colours. The social media the debate about the colour of the dress has been going on for two days now with team #blackandblue and team #whiteandgold.
The debate started after Scottish singer Caitlin McNeil posted a picture of the dress on her Tumblr page, on February 25th asking people to help her out with the colour. McNeil wrote: “Guys please help me – is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can’t agree…”
