Check out these superb ankara styles from Mustafa Hassanali. The Tanzanian designer showcased these pieces at the premiere edition of Africa Fashion Week London. These pieces are from his Uhuru Collection.
Speaking about the collection and its inspirations, the designer said: “The collection embodies the flora and fauna of Tanzania, the Warm hospitality of its people, the rich natural resources of the nation but more importantly so built on the principles of the founding father of the Nation, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere”.
The most prominent colour that featured in almost all the pieces was white. A white fabric was usually used for the blouse or the skirt part of the outfits. This was combined with the various ankara fabrics that were used to design the different styles.
