American Singer Monica and Daughter Rocks African Dashiki as more and more international stars continues to embrace African fashion and the African print. From Beyonce to Rihanna, Gwen Stefani, Chris Brown and many other artists, African fashion has been receiving a lot of attention.
Check out photos of American singer, songwriter, producer, and actress, Monica Denise Brown and her daughter dressed up in Dashiki. The “Boy Is Mine” singer and mother of three rocked the attire with her daughter over the weekend while celebrating her son’s birthday.

Popularly known as Monica, the singer threw an African Jungle Safari themed birthday party for Royco who turned a year older. The event was attended by her family members, friends, as well as the new mom, Tiny.
The “Before You Walk Out of My Life” singer posted some of the photos to her Instagram page with the caption: “Not often in this life do you meet genuine people that simply want to love and be loved… Blessed to have these two in my life .. @miekajoi_ & @impjrose #RockosAfricanJungleSafari 📸: @milanesphotography”.
Monica is married to American professional basketball player, Shannon Brown. The duo was happily together at Royco’s birthday party. About a month ago, the internet was awash with claims that the singer and her husband were headed for divorce. Shannon and Monica took their marital vows in 2011.
Shannon is the stepfather to Royco and Monica’s other son – Romelo. Before marrying Shannon, Monica was in a longtime relationship with Atlanta rapper Rocko – who fathered her two sons. Shannon is the father of Laiya Monica’s only daughter.
