Rihanna was spotted wearing a blue Kaftan dress while heading to her car in New York City, New York on May 29, 2016. The ‘Anti’ singer wore the popular African attire that was made of bright print while shopping with a friend on Sunday. Bad girl Riri was seen shopping at MAC beauty store and several other stores while rocking the brightly patterned kaftan maxi-dress.
This is not the first time the Umbrella” singer has been seen in an African attire or in African print. From rocking pieces made by Stella Jean who is popularly for making top-end pieces from African print to several other known and unknown designers – Rihanna is one international celebrity that has a love for African fashion.
The Barbadian singer is one of those celebrities that is very open to trying different styles. And according to many people, she’s one of those women that could even put on a rag and slay it like a classy piece.
Not long ago, Rihanna’s ex-partner, Chris Brown was seen rocking a Dashiki top. An Africa attire that is similar to the Kaftan. American singer and mother of three, Monica was also recently seen rocking the Dashiki with her daughter. The “Boy Is Mine” singer and her daughter wore the attire while celebrating one of her sons birthdays.
