The ‘people’s’ Prince stunned commuters as he flew commercial. But the Duke of Cambridge and second in line to the British royal throne shunned exclusive treatment, instead boarding a commercial flight to from LaGuardia Airport to Washington DC where he visited the American President, Barack Obama yesterday.
Besides flying commercial, Prince William sat in the coach section of the plane and not in the business class. Many passengers who were excited and stunned by the the prince’s humility snapped photos and shared on their social network with compliments.
One excited passenger named Sam Kim shared one of the photos on Twitter and accompanied it with the text, “Our flight was delayed and a caravan of black suburbans pulled up to the plane. Then the most unexpected guest stepped onto our DC shuttle flight this morning.”
Another stunned passenger with the Twitter handle, @local24eli posted another photo and wrote, “#EXCLUISIVE PIC: I am still amazed #Prince William flies COACH. That’s pretty humble/awesome. Who knew?
