American singer, songwriter, and actress, Pink goes nude for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign. Born Alecia Beth Moore, Pink is the latest celebrity to feature in PETA’s campaign against the use of animal fur for making clothing.

The 90-foot PETA billboard is placed at the New York City’s Times Square. Another one will be erected on 42nd Street, between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue on Wednesday night – the eve of New York Fashion Week. The nude photo was taken by photographer Ruven Afanador.

“I would like to say I’ve always been fur-free,” the 35-year-old told E! in a statement about the campaign. “Unfortunately, I went through a selfish phase and wore fur on a couple of occasions. But I wised up and now boycott fur completely. I wish everyone was forced to learn the horrors that these animals go through for fashion trends. I hope fur-wearers get bitten in the ass by the same kind of animal they wear on their back,” she added.

“I’ve always felt that animals are the purest spirits in the world,” the “There You Go” singer told Us Weekly. “They don’t fake or hide their feelings, and they are the most loyal creatures on Earth.”

Other celebrities that had previously participated in PETA’s campaign against the use of fur are, Khloé Kardashian, Bethenny Frankel, Joanna Krupa, Holly Madison, Nia Long, Olivia Munn, Wendy Williams, Eva Mendes, and Christian Serratos.
