Another two years have come and another edition of Rip The Runway UK is set to take place. Taking place next week Saturday, June 13th from 7pm until 11pm. And the event will open its platform to talented individuals working in the fashion and music industry and especially upcoming models, unsigned artists and fresh faces, to promote and showcase their creative skills and talents.
Fashion designers that will be participating at the British Community event this year includes Mama’s Boutique, Morts and Moore, Nicole Veronique, as well as SYG (Start Young Global Young Entrepreneur Awards) award-winning fashion label ODF Clothing will use the opportunity to showcase how fashion, music and the arts have developed in the urban areas of London over the years. Some of the participating brands are Whitney Marie UK, Vita Coco, Propercorn and Mizani UK.
The event whose premiere edition took place in 2009 at the F airfield Halls, is organised every two years in London and will have in attendance, special guests such as UK singer Jamelia, Sky Living Venus vs Mars star Letitia Hector and Rinse Fm’s Yinka Bokinni.
Notable faces that have attended Rip The Runway UK in the past includes British Olympic Medallist Anthony Joshua MBE, JP Cooper, Suli Breaks, Angel, as well as Rachel Kerr.
Emulating the likes of Fashion Week, Brit Awards and MOBOs, Rip The Runway UK aims to form a relationship with designers to understand how their unique style of fashion has been influenced by their lifestyle, community, as well as upbringing in the UK.
