One of the hottest fabric that designers used for their collections were the brocade fabric. Jonathan Saunders, Meadham Kirchhoff, Erdem and Osman all showcased pieces made with the fabric. But the trend did not start at London Fashion Week 2012. The brocade was first seen in Proenza Schouler’s showcase at the New York Fashion Week.

They decide the colours, fabrics, styles that come in vogue each season. The high street brands take a cue from the runway as most of their collections are based on what were showcased on the runway.
