Few weeks after celebrating the birth of her son and first child, Titan, American artist and former Destiny’s Child group member Kelly Rowland has lost her mother, Doris Rowland Garrison. She passed away on December 2nd.
While it was her friends and family members who broke the news about the death of her 66-year-old mother by sending her their condolences on Twitter, Kelly has confirmed the news that her mother passed away on Tuesday, a day after going into cardiac arrest.
In a statement to E! News, the “Dilemma” “singer said: “It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my mother, Doris Rowland Garrison.
“She was an incredible soul who made countless sacrifices so that I could become the woman–and now mother–I am today. We humbly appreciate all the love and support and only ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
