Last weekend, a Nigerian contestant took his Lagos Governorship campaign to London, United Kingdom. Jimi Agbaje, the People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate organised a campaign event that was attended by friends and supporters in London. At the event, Mr Agbaje promised the attendees he’ll turn Lagos State to a mega city and the world’s number one tourist centre if given the opportunity to become the Governor.
Jimi Agbaje, who is a Nigerian Pharmacist and Politician is contesting against Akinwunmi Ambode who’s the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress. Ambode is of the same party with the outgoing Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola who has completed his eight years term and no longer eligible to contest as the states governor.
Last month, Nigerians in London rallied in support of General Muhammadu Buhari who is the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress and strongest contender against President Goodluck Jonathan of the People Democratic Party.
