The UK Premiere of ‘Half Of A Yellow Sun‘ occurred in London at Odeon Streatham on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. The event was attended by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the Nigerian writer that wrote the book for the movie.
Dressed in a long red lacy gown with neatly packed braided hair and red lipstick to go with it, Chimamanda was looking every bit ready to steal the red carpet.
Apart from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the movie cast members were also present at the event. The likes of Chiwetel Ejiofor from ‘12 Years a Slave‘ and his model girlfriend, Sari Mercer. In ‘Half of a Yellow Sun ‘, the British-Nigerian actor played the role of “Odenigbo”. He’s expected to be in Nigeria soon;

Thandie Newton, who plays Olanna in the adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie‘s bestseller, made her first red carpet-appearance since welcoming her son five weeks ago. The 41-year-old actress showed off her post-baby body in a Little Black Dress. She complemented it with a dark-blue clutch bag and golden shoes.
