English singer, composer, songwriter, pianist and record producer, Sir Elton John and David Furnish are now officially man and wife. The gay couple entered a civil registered partnership about nine years ago and were so excited they wed in the presence of friends and family yesterday, Sunday, December 21st, 2014. Present at the event were Victoria and David Beckham.
The 67-year-old musician and occasional actor and his partner shared their photographs and happiness on Instagram. The pair, who first became parents in 2010 through surrogacy said they made the decision to get married after same-sex marriage was made legal in England in March.
“Our little ring bearers are fast asleep, and their shoes are polished and ready for tomorrow’s celebration. @EltonJohn #ShareTheLove#DavidFurnish (sic),” Elton posted about their sons Zachary, three, and 23-month-old Elijah who were a major part of the event. The star made the post a night before their big day.
Actor Elizabeth Hurley congratulated the couple on Twitter by posting:Â “Massive congratulations to David and Elton on having their beautiful son. Can’t wait for my first cuddle.” She was among the first people to offer her wishes to the newly wedded couple.
