Elizabeth Arden Names Model Adeola Ariyo as First African Ambassador

Elizabeth Arden is looking to expand its reach and has selected Nigerian model, Adeola Ariyo as its first African brand ambassador. The 28-year-old Nigerian model will represent Visible Difference, Skin Illuminating and foundation lines around the African continent through the brand’s campaign ads. Former Elizabeth Arden model Lerato Moloi, of South Africa, used her spotlight to shine attention on underweight models and encouraging women of color to protect their skin from UV rays.

Ariyo, who is from Lagos but born to a Ghanaian mother and Nigerian father, has worked the runway at London Fashion Week, Arise Fashion Week in Lagos, Cape Town Fashion Week and Johannesburg Fashion Week.

“Being chosen as an Elizabeth Arden Brand Ambassador in Africa is an incredible honor,” Ariyo said. “Elizabeth Arden herself was an entrepreneur, a women’s advocate and champion for holistic beauty, inspiring women all over the world. I’m proud to be associated with a brand that embodies such important values.”

Speaking to Elle, Corne Nel, the Managing Director of Elizabeth Arden Africa says,  “Expanding into Africa is an exciting venture for our brand. It’s an opportunity to really celebrate African beauty.”
