On May 29, 2015, Nigerian novelist and multiple award winning writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie wrapped her head in this yellow polka dot scarf to attend Wellesley College’s graduate ceremony where she made a commencing speech.

The talented writer attended the event where she addressed the class of 2015 at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Speaking to the women graduating this year, the Nigerian writer said she was not very interested in makeup until she was in her twenties.

The school’s graduates, who were excited at having the talented writer in their school were seen waving their copies of Chimamanda’s “We Should All Be Feminists”.
