Black Twitter is currently on fire and Elle Canada is being roasted for Calling Dashikis The ‘Newest It-item’. The Canadian fashion magazine posted a picture of a Dashiki outfit from Forever 21 and captioned it: “The Dashiki everyone. Behold the newest it-item of note.”

Seeing Africans have been rocking the Dashikis for several decades and Elle Canada is calling it ‘newest it-item’, black Twitter went on fire with anger and called the fashion magazine out. Some were not only angry Elle Canada called it the ‘newest it-item’ but also for the fact that the magazine did not give a cultural background.
