These are the first photos from the protest staged by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) today at the European Parliament in Brussels. Members of IPOB across several European States travelled down to the European capital city to agitate for self determination and support for their cause.
The protesters agitating for Biafra freedom carried several placards making statement of their demands and fears.
One of the placards read: “Buhari is Boko Haram.”
Another one read: “If EU can save the Syrian refugees. They can also save Biafrans from the extinction from the Nigerian Government.
for self determination. Buhari is breaking international law by harassing and killing the beleaguered and marginalized peoples of Biafra in British-Nigeria.” And it the bottom, it said: #Free Nnamdi Kanu.
The leader of the IPOB movement and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu is currently under detention by the Nigerian Government. His continued detention has led to several protests by IPOB members who have organised several marches in Nigeria, New York, London, and now a European edition that took place in Brussels today.
