In the last few years, curvy fashion has become trendy and fashionable as more and more women are now bold and comfortable with showing off their curves. Two women, Beyonce and Kim Kardashian who both have beautiful curves that they flaunt and celebrate, has helped in revolutionising how women with curves feel about their body. As a result, many plus size designers, fashion shows as well as beauty pageant targeted towards the curvy woman has seen a sharp increase.
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, 22-year-old American actress and singer – Demi Lovato credited this shift in fashion to curvy women such as American singer, songwriter and actress, Beyonce Knowles, as well as television and social media personality, socialite, fashion designer, businesswoman, model and reality TV star, Kim Kardashian. According to her, Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé’s famous curves have helped refine beauty and made a whole generation of women see it is not all about being skinny, making it easier for women these days to accept and embrace their full figures.
“When I was growing up and when I was a pre-teen, the people that I had to look up to for body image were extremely underweight. They were all very bony at that time and that was the in thing. But now I’m glad I have curves and role models to look up to that also have curvaceous physiques,” Says Demi.
“I really credit women like Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian, they completely revolutionized what our generation’s view of perception of what beautiful is and I really think that they had a huge impact on that,” she added.
