    Album: All The Things You Know To Be True By Rob Carvalho

    Rob Carvalho’s album, “All the things you know to be true?” was released on April 26, 2013. Lyrically the album takes you on a journey through love, rejection, passion and even touching on social themes check Electric Cotton & Duet. What will grab the listener attention is they way Carvalho has incorporated humor with memorable hooks that will linger and embed themselves into the listeners mind.

    Musically, his main influence of Soul is mingled with Jazz and other musical genres of the diaspora, such as Hip hop, Afro beat, Afro Brazilian and Reggae. However, this album is a mix of musical textures, liquid grooves, instrumentation and rhythms. All of these build into crescendos creating various moods. Some examples are Beware and Baby K.

    Vocally he has his own style as a smooth tenor with a dynamic range, but remains soulful and heartfelt throughout as the harmonies colorfully interject a great example of this into the track, Love Song.

    The album was produced alongside Grammy nominated Producer Paul Horton as well as a production from US based producer DC (Du ET) and Norwegian based producer Henrik Berhane (Feels Good).

    About The Artist

    Artist, Rob Carvalho was born in Birmingham, United Kingdom. He started composing poems and tunes as well performing during his teenage years. Carvalho’s music is themed around love, passion, pride and the society.

    At the age of 14, Carvalho bought his first bass and taught himself how to play guitar. As time goes on, he learned how to play several other musical instruments like the flute, keyboards, rhythm guitar and percussion.

    After years of learning about music, Carvalho went on to form a music band known as The Xtended Family. Through his band, he has performed gigs across the UK. Some of them have appeared on popular Midland’s station, the BBC Radio WM.

    Speaking about music, Carvalho said, “For me, music is all about self-expression, tapping into the inner senses and reshaping them in a way that engages the listener.”
