Travel: 5 Vacation Destinations Loved By The Stars

With 2015 well under way, we’re all looking forward to planning a getaway destination to avoid those winter blues. Whether you’re going away now or planning ahead for the summer, there are some destinations out there that are just better than others – some of which are even fit for the likes of celebville.

If you’re looking for a little inspiration of where to go away this year, try out these luxurious destinations which are loved by celebrities all over the world.

    Hawaii

    Celebrity visitor: Jenson Button

One of the most beautiful destinations on this list, Hawaii is home to a number of man made and natural delights, from Pearl Harbor to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Of course, one of the reasons it’s a favorite of Jenson’s is its all round beautiful weather. As Jenson says: “I go there nearly every winter, because it’s pretty much sunny the whole time I’m there.”

    Las Vegas

    Celebrity visitor: Ben Affleck

Visiting casinos may seem like something that’s a little out of date, especially with all the modern day alternatives out there such as mobile casinos at Euro Palace, but Las Vegas has so much more to offer than just that. The likes of Ben Affleck may like to go there for the casinos, but many go just for the parties – for example, the Wet Republic swimming pool at the MGM Grand is a hot spot for celebrities from Jennifer Lopez to Prince Harry.

    Shenzhen

    Celebrity visitor: Katherine Jenkins

This Welsh opera singer likes to jet off halfway around the world, it seems – to Shenzhen, China. She said: “It was quite an eye-opener to experience a city that’s growing so quickly but doesn’t yet have the culture of more popular places such as Beijing and Shanghai.” For something a little different, here’s one destination in China that cannot be missed.

    The Serengeti

    Celebrity visitor: Hugh Dennis

Nothing quite says a beautiful sunset like the Serengeti – Tanzania’s gorgeous African plains are home to a plethora of wildlife and attract many famed visitors every year. British comedian Hugh Dennis says of the Serengeti: “The Serengeti was amazing – we watched the wildebeest migration, which went on for three days and was fascinating.”

    Buenos Aires

    Celebrity visitor: Alex James

Blur bassist Alex James fondly recalls his touring days when he went to Buenos Aires. The Argentinean capital, he says, is a place where “you arrive and just never want to leave.” What makes it so wonderful? The Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosada and the Obelisco de Buenos Aires are all essential stop off points.
