Nigeria was represented at the River Church “International Nite” that was celebrated in the UK on the 18th and 19th of November 2011. At the two days event which took place in the city of Exeter, over 35 countries were represented out of the 500 guest that were present.
Other countries that were represented at the event are India “Bollywood”, Easter Island, Brazil, Spain, Zimbabwe and Japan “traditional dance”. In addition, there was a performance of a Shakespearean drama and an operatic act of Puccini’s aria Nessun Dorma.
This is the 6th time River Church is organizing such an event. Each event is particularly aimed at raising funds for a particular charity organization. This just concluded event, “International Nite!” was organized to raise funds for The Salvation Army.
Their next event will take place on Sunday the 11th of December at 6pm and it is titled “Family Nite”. The event will be used by local performers to tell their stories of Christmas through dance, drama, music and song.
