Two Time Award Winning Novel & Three Strong Women

Forty-four year old literary prize winner in France, Marie NDiaye has won a second prize for her last novel “Three Strong Women”. The prize was awarded by the Dutch’s literary prize (Nederland’s Literatuurprijs) When the Dutch translation came out this year Marie NDiaye was honored for her well-known tale the “Three Strong Women”.

Three Strong Women is an inspiring fiction about the struggles of black women in Europe and Africa. The three main characters focused on (Norah, Fanta and Kahdi). According to her publisher Gallimard, “These women struggle to defend their self-worth courageously in time of indignity that life has inflicted”.

The literature also explicates the difficulty that was encountered by these women. Besides, every tale is a tale of hope and confidence. Furthermore, the three characters are incredibly unlike, it characterize on black women from Africa to Europe.

The characters speak of Norah as a French lawyer from West-African origin. Fanta is described as a Senegalese woman living in France and Khadi is a young Senegalese woman looking for a way to migrate to Europe illegally.

Marie NDiaye was born in France; her father is Senegalese and her mother is French. She published her first novel at the age of 18 and she is always optimistic about the future.
