Video: Liberian Theatrical Trailer: "Pray the Devil Back to Hell"

“Pray the Devil Back to Hell” tells the extraordinary but less-known story of a small group of women without weapons risking their lives in order to bring Liberia peace. The episode was reconstructed through interviews, archival footage and striking images of contemporary Liberia.

Armed only with white T-shirts and the courage of their beliefs, a coalition of Christian and Muslim women challenged brutality and corruption, taking on Charles Taylor and the warlords. They action helped in bringing peace to Liberia after decades of war.

Their protests brought about the exile of Charles Taylor and the election of Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Africa’s first female head of state. The occasion marked the vanguard of a new wave of people taking control of their political destiny around the world.

  1. This looks interesting and i would love to watch the full documentary. Good job the producer has done. We need to see more of such stories.

  2. This looks like a good documentary to watch. Will watch out for it.

  3. Liberians really went through hell during the time of this Evil Samuel Doe and Pray the Devil Back to Hell is a befitting name for this documentary. The man is a real devil.

  4. Go therefore and make dsiciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, eaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:19-20May the Lamb Who was slain receive the reward of His suffering! In Christ,CD

  5. Interesting story. Sometimes, the real people who won a cause are those that no one hears about.
