  • Ghanaian lady arrested with cocaine at London Heathrow Airport.

A Ghanaian Lady that has been identified to be Nayele Ametefeh, also known as Ruby Adu-Gyamfi or Angel was arrested with Cocaine in London on the 10th of November 2014. The Ghanaian big girl was busted trafficking 12 kilograms of cocaine worth £3.5 million ($5 million) through the London Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom.

Ametefeh was suspected and arrested by the UK Border Agency at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 after it was confirmed she was carrying 12 kg of grade A cocaine on her. In her possession were three passports that included a Ghanaian diplomatic passport, as well as an Austrian passport. She traveled on a business class through a British Airways flight Number BA 078 from Accra to London.

While reports said she traveled with the Ghanaian diplomatic passport, Ghanaian authorities says she traveled on her Austrian passport. They have also denied allegations that Nayele Ametefeh owns a diplomatic passport and claims she only has an ordinary Ghanaian passport.

“It is worthy of note that Ms Nayele Ametefe travelled on Austrian passport number P4187659 and not on Ghanaian Diplomatic passport as being speculated. She also had in her possession an ordinary Ghanaian passport number G0364497 issued on 3rd August, 2012,” the statement that was signed by Richard Nii Lante Blankson, NACOB’s Deputy Executive Director said.

According to reports by several Ghanaian media, the smuggler owns an electrical shop at Dzorwulu in Accra and it is called Night Angels. The shop is said to be adjacent Relax Court Hotel and above a UBA Bank. The alleged shop sells home lightening appliances such as electric bulbs and chandeliers, as well as decorative ceiling-mounted light fixture.

The drug trafficker was charged to court the following day after her arrest, Tuesday, November, 11th, 2014 for attempting to smuggle a class A drug into the UK. She is currently in custody and will reappear at the Isleworth Crown Court next week (27th of November 2014).

  1. Hehe, now she live the good life in prison 🙂 And maybe by the time she’s out, her family may have squandered all the money she acquired through drug trafficking and other illegal business she may be involved in.

  2. Now she can enjoy her big girl status in a UK prison. Wishing her all the fun there 🙂

  3. Phew! One more drug dealer taken off the street. She can go to prison where she belongs and be a big girl there. Selling drugs to destroy the lives of addicted users.

  4. Living large at the expense of ruining the lives of vulnerable people. Now she can go to prison and enjoy the consequence of her actions there. And above all, i hope her family squander every little thing she gained from drug smuggling and trafficking. Riddance to bad rubbish!
