Ghana: Fatal Accident on Accra-Aloa Road

Fatal Accident on Accra-Aloa Road

A fatal accident occurred in Dawa on the Accra-Afloa road. About eighteen people were reported to have lost their lives while others were seriously injured in another fatal accident.

According to an eyewitness, the accident occurred between four vehicles at Dawa on the Afloa Accra road in Ghana. Another eye witness Prince Zaw, told City News that the accident was caused by a broken down articulated truck which had overtaken a better part of the road. Report shows that this is not the first accident that has occurred on that same road, it is indeed the second time that a terrible accident has occurred on the same road and had claimed the lives of over twenty persons.

Prince Zaw also narrated to the City News that, a 207 bus with passengers from Mepe crashed with a rushing Urvan bus from Ada after the 207 bus tried to escape the wrecked truck.

He added that a vehicle loaded with tomatoes was also involved in a crash as a result of the broken truck. This according to him regrettably resulted to more deaths.

While Prince Zaw told the City News that it was too early to place a figure at the number of lives that were claimed by the incident, he was able to confirm that there was no survival from the Urvan bus.
