  1. Several chemicals have been shown to be effective in skin whitening, while some have proven to be toxic. And at the top of the list is Hydroquinone. Simply do a Google search and look at the pictures of all the scarring this chemical has caused. The bottom line to this whole skin whitening issue is that people are doing it for the wrong reasons. And they are using unsafe products.

    • The truth is that, most of them know the consequences of skin bleaching and the damages it can do to their skin and health but continue doing it. It’s a pity they feel making their skin several shades lighter makes them beautiful or more attractive. I just see them as people who have no self confidence or esteem. And the irony is that, after excessive skin bleaching, skin lightening, skin whitening or which ever name they enjoy calling it – most of them end up looking like ghosts or have burnt and terribly discoloured skin.
