Baftas 2014: Chiwetel Ejiofor Wins Best Actor For 12 Years A Slave

British-Nigerian actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor wins as Best Actor at the BAFTAs 2014 for his role in the film, “12 Years A Slave. Ejiofor competed with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Bruce Dern to win this year’s award as best actor at BAFTAs.

Making his speech and showing his appreciation for all the support, Ejiofor said, “I’m so deeply honoured and privileged”. He then went on to thank the director, Steve McQueen. “Thank you for you work, your artistry and your passion in this project … to make it of such value, of such worth. This is yours by the way – I’m going to keep it, that’s the kind of guy I am, but it’s yours.”
