About two years ago, Nollywood actress and politician, Kate Henshaw was a dress that was inspired by Goodluck Jonathan, the former president of Nigeria. The outfit is a traditional Ijaw attire that was mostly worn by the president, Goodluck Jonathan. One striking element about the former Nigerian president’s outfit was the fabric and colour.

In 2014, some Nigerian designers were inspired by the president’s style and made a female version of the dress which Kate Henshaw made popular. Kate Henshaw’s President Goodluck Jonathan’s outfit was created by one of Nigeria top fashion designers, Mai Atafo.
