The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant took place yesterday and  18-year-old Anna Ebiere Banner, the representative of Bayelsa State has emerged the winner. At 18, Ebiere will be one of the youngest winners of the MBGN crown.

Ebiere competed with 31 other contestants for the 2013 edition of the MBGN pageant that took place in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State. As the winner, Ebiere will represent Nigeria at the 2013 Miss World pageant that is scheduled to take place later in the year in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Other contestants who made it top the top 5 finalists are, Miss Imo (Stephanie Okwu), Miss Adamawa (Powede Lawrence), Miss Kaduna (Enoma Agboniko) and Miss Abuja (Melissa Devidal). The first runner-up, Miss Imo (Stephanie Okwu) will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant.


  1. Just a couple of fine girls really. The majority of them are average and below average in my opinion. Nigeria has very beautiful women and this is all you can find? Not delighted.
